Stockism - A Lookism Stock Market Simulation Game

    TL;DR: We store almost nothing about you. No real names, no profile pictures, no tracking.
  

What We Store in Our Game Database

Username - The name YOU choose (not your Google name)
Game data - Your cash balance, stock holdings, and trade history
Account ID - A random ID to identify your account

What Firebase Authentication Stores

Firebase (Google's service) handles login and stores your email to manage your account. This is standard for any website with login - it's how you can sign back in later.

Email - Stored by Firebase Auth (not our game database). Never visible to other players or used for marketing.

What We DON'T Store Anywhere

Your real name - We never save your Google display name
Your profile picture - We never save your Google photo
Your password - Google handles authentication securely
Your contacts or Google data - We have no access
Tracking cookies or analytics - We don't use any

About the Google Sign-In Popup

When you sign in, Google shows a standard message saying we "could" access your name and profile picture. This is Google's default OAuth screen - it shows the maximum possible permissions, not what we actually use.

In reality, our code immediately discards this information. We only use Google to verify you're a real person, then we ask you to create a username. That username is the only identifier visible to other players.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data anytime from within the app. Click your username to open your Profile, scroll to the bottom, and click "Delete Account".

Third-Party Services

Stockism uses the following third-party services:

Firebase Authentication - For secure login (Google, Twitter, Email)
Firebase Firestore - For storing game data
Firebase Hosting - For serving the website
reCAPTCHA - For bot protection

These services are provided by Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Stockism is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
